In the south, major storms come almost every single year. A storm can cause roof damage by blowing off and cracking shingles and tiles. Major signs of storm damage to look out for are having missing pieces of asphalt, dents in your shingles, and cracking in your shingles. Some aging is obvious like if your roof is more than 15 years old– it is time to get a new roof. But sometimes the roof can age due to color from the sun, and even accumulation of algae.
